It not only means eating foods that are nutritious and satisfying but also eating for reasons other than emotional reasons. Years ago, I had a client in the Social Service field who always talked about her counselor telling her that something was "crazy talk." Well, I think I do "crazy eating". I know exactly what foods are good for me and in what quantity but because I'm an emotional eater, I disregard all that and eat for all the wrong reasons. I feel that until I figure it out, I'm doomed to eating in response to my emotions.
